The 2019 D3baseball.com All-Region teams have been announced, and the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) is represented by Pitcher of the Year Jake Jourdain (Becket, Mass.) of Northern Vermont University-Lyndon.
The 2019 season marks the eighth year that D3baseball.com has named All-Region teams, with more than 800 players nominated. The ballot was then made available to campus Sports Information Directors, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region, as well as D3baseball.com staff and contributors.
In conference games, Jourdain led all pitchers with three wins, two complete games, and one shutout in seven starts. He only allowed four earned runs and held opponents to a .183 batting average in 109 at bats. He collected 28 strikeouts (8.59 per game) in 29 innings pitched. In total, Jourdain started 11 games for the Hornets and tallied seven wins (.636 win percentage). He struck out 77 batters (9.90 per game) whom he held to a .179 batting average in 252 at bats. Jourdain finished the regular season with a league leading 1.67 earned run average.
