Sophomore pitcher Cam Graham was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week. He was recognized for his performance as a starting pitcher for the second time in his career, and remains the only Husson player to achieve this recognition. Graham was also selected as the North Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the same period.
Just two outs away from a no-hitter, Maine-Farmington snuck a ball up the middle into the outfield for their only hit of the game against Graham on Saturday. Throwing a complete seven-inning game, Graham gave up just a single walk in the final inning as well while throwing out six batters by the end of a 3-0 shutout conference victory for the Eagles. His performance led to a perfect 0.0 ERA and an impressive 7.7 strikeouts per nine innings. This marks his second shutout victory of the 2019 season and 13.1 consecutive innings on the Harold Alfond Diamond without giving up a single hit after he concluded the 2018 season on the mound with his first career no-hitter.
The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its eighth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the seventh Team of the Week of the 2019 season, and includes games occuring the week of March 25-31, 2019.
